I stopped avoiding the "BIG CHOP!" lol

So I have been natural (natural as in no relaxer/perm) for almost two years now. For a while I was rockin the mohawk look w/ my natural hair but then I had decided I wanted my hair on the sides to grow out and catch up w/ the hair in the middle of my head. No matter how well I took care of my hair my ends were still coming off, split ends were abundant and I was seeing no growth on the sides of my head. The middl part of my hair was sprouting like crazy though.

I was just tired playing this false "hair growth catch up" game so I took a deep breath and said to myself "I need to cut my hair. I need to start completely over." One of the main reasons I didn't want to cut my hair was b/c I was too attached to the length of my hair in the middle of my head from my mohawk. I also feared of not looking feminine enough. But I knew if I ever wanted a luscious long and curly lion's mane I needed to start over and get the BIG CHOP.

I finally made an appointment w/ my aunt's beautician (she works within her house). I was actually excited sitting there waiting for her to cut it. Even when I saw the hair hitting the floor I was ok. No tears and not shocked in the least. It wasn't until I looked into a mirror that I realized how much of a change it was. It was a rush of emotions. I was happy and thought it was cool and then I kept questioning myself on why I had done what I done.

At the end of the day I'm glad I went through w/ it b/c now I don't have crazy uneven hair and there are no split ends to be found. My head also felt a lot cooler while outside lol.

Now this doesn't mean I'm letting go of the wigs lol. I will still use them as a style protectant for my ends and just if I want to have a different look. The wigs will also come in handy when winter rolls around. Can't have the cold winds and snow hitting my scalp xP.

I will keep you all updated on my hair growth every month...or at least I'll try to lol I tend to forget to post things sometimes. The day my hair reaches an inch all over I cry.....when I see two inches I'll cry and die lol Too excited for this dream hair XD

Artsy fartsy

Lately I haven't been motivated to draw much. Me, the person who wants to make this a career, is seriously slackin right now. I hope to get out of this artist block funk soon.

Yesterday I drew a strawberry shortcake pastry. I had gotten the inspiration to draw it from my friends Moni and Lisha. They have drawing pasties lately. I had no intent on coloring it b/c I don't have a tablet and it's hard to color well on a lap top using your fingers. Luckily I found a mouse to use and went town on coloring it.

Here's the finished product. It's nothing special but it's a start to get me out my artist block streak. Maybe the next thing I draw will be more... intricate? lol

Some new things I've gotten + life update

I should have made a new post some weeks ago but I admit I get distracted and lazy. So I guess I shall fill you guys in on the things happening or...not happening lol.

I have been dying to get a new phone. Anything at all! It didn't have to be special or smart phone for that matter. Luckily my dreams came true. Me, my brother and father all got a new phone but they are all the same. We go them from ebay and they are kinda old as in they came out I think 09' or 2010. BUT they are brand new and never used! It's called the LG Xenon.

Now this phone for me is an upgrade from the old ass Nokia flip phone I was using buuuut it's no iphone lol I miss my iphone. Curse those who stole it from me! >8O My dad had a smart phone but it was busted up so he needed a new phone. He is now realizing the difference between a smart phone and the ones we have now. LOL he's stressin b/c he can't do some of the same things his old phone could. I told him we should all get sumthin 4g at least but he's all "it's too expensive. we can something else." Well we got sumthin else and he's unsatisfied lol. There are other good phones out there that are newer that aren't smart phones but they are also expensive as shit. We aren't under contract w/ anybody so anything we get has to be cheap as fuck or used cuz regular priced phones are ridiculous. I wish we would get back on contract but that's a whole other argument v.v

Right now I'm OK w/ the phone but at least it's sumthin. v.v

I would like this phone a lot more if the keys were bigger, the touch screen more sensitive (I feel like I'm punching it just to get it to click something lol) and it had a better battery life. But like I said...it will do...for now.

A bit of good news and nails!

The little good news I would like to share w/ you all is; 1. I will be getting a new phone in the mail this Friday. I've been w/ out a phone for almost a month. I felt so hopeless w/ out one v.v 2. I got a call back for a job and I have an interview next Wednesday! I soooo fuckin happy about that! I hope I do good. I need a job bad!

Now onto one of my favorite obsessions! NAILS! Specifically stiletto nails! I plan creating my own after I saw some nail porn from tumblr! lol Here are some nails that I liked while browsing tumblr!

From looking at those pics I decided I was going to create a set myself! (I would like to have nails done w/ acrylic at a salon but Imma take the broke route for now and make my own! lol)

This was something I sketched up in photoshop.

the white/gray dots are rhinestones. I bought some today on ebay for $1 and free shipping! But they don't get in until like two weeks from now. If I can't that long then I will go find some at a store. The light pink will actually be a bit darker than what's portrayed on here.

1. What made you first become interested in the fashion style you're apart of?

I've always been a fan of fashion but multiple things led me to where I am now. It started w/ anime, then v-kei, then the obsession withe the FRUiTS book and then I found manba and ganguro. It was love at first sight lol.

2. What are your most favorite cosmetic and fashion accessories?  

My fav cosmetic would have to be my sun bunny bronzer by Two Faced. And my fav fashion accessory would be my floppy hats and feather earrings.

3. What is your most biggest and embarrassing fashion mishap?

Back in my early high school years I still never really settled with a style and I had a phase of doing the "Harajuku Girl" look. I was just tacky but I thought it was cute....I fooled some others into thinking it was cute too LOL. 

4. Do you like anime and/or manga? If so what are some of your favorites?

I don't like either...I LOVE THEM! lol

Oh wow I have a big favs list for anime but I guess I will name three; Code Geass (ultimate fav), Cowboy Bebop and Sailor Moon. My fav manga hands down is the Peach girl series!

5. What is the last most delicious meal you were able to devour? 

Two days ago a friend of mine took me out for sushi and she paid. Nothing tastes better than free food. ESPECIALLY sushi! lol

The look of confidence! I love all styles but I think some girls and guys should be more confident b/c when that shows their outfit glows! Ooh look I rhymed! lol

Yes. I am in school studying traditional animation. (it's summer now so technically I'm not in school lol)

Last weekend was so gay and so fun.

Last Friday I went to Chicago (like I said in my post before this) to see my bf and some friends and to go to the gay pride parade.

I had an amazing time! I got to spend so much time with my luvah and I can't wait to see him again. Unfortunately my camera decided it wasn't going to work anymore so I no longer have one and will have to use my webcam (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻. I do have a flip camera though so I can record some things. Anyway with that said I don't have any pics from the parade. I really wish I did. So much was going on I just wanted to capture it all! 

Basically what I saw was ---> (ﾉ⊙ω⊙)ﾉ～『✧~*BOOBS*~✧』 & (ﾉ◕ω◕)ﾉ～『✧~*DICKS*~✧』

Men in rainbow thongs and women scantily clad. It was so much fun and so much excitement. There were a shit ton of people too! I've never experienced anything like that before! Street after street was a party. Like literally people were just standing and dancing in the middle of the street...and that was after the parade! ALSO my bf got hit on a few times lol as did I. All in good fun yo. I most definitely will be going back next year. We had got there late so missed most of the parade and only saw like 15 minutes of it. Next time I will be up bright early! >8D I really wish my camera hadn't died on me. I saw someone dressed as Lady Gaga from the Marry The Night video. I was speechless!! lol lol

Oooh ooh! and some random guy came up to me saying I looked like the singer Rihanna and then proceeded to sing her song "S&M" for me lol lol he was so drunk but he was hilarious!
